October 23, 2025
World’s largest tech conference underscores the increasing value of data
Seagate participated in the world’s largest tech conference, GITEX Global 2025 held October 13–17, 2025, in Dubai.
The event attracted more than 6,800 exhibitors, 2,000 startups and 1,200 investors from 180 countries.
Living up to expectations: “GITEX Global is always a tremendous opportunity to talk with our customers about their ever-growing needs for data storage and showcase our technology and solutions,” says Sameer Bhatia, senior director for IMETA (India, Middle East, Turkey and Africa) at Seagate. “This year’s event lived up to our highest expectations.”
Electric atmosphere: “The atmosphere at the show was electric. We saw many examples of AI already delivering real-world benefits along with plans for more exciting innovation ahead,” says Bhatia. Highlights from five eventful days in the UAE:
In all these areas, says Bhatia, Seagate plays — or will play — a pivotal role by providing secure, scalable storage for increasingly valuable data in the cloud, at the edge and in sovereign data centers.
On the floor with Seagate: Hundreds of visitors stopped by the Seagate booth, featuring Exos® CORVAULT™. Designed for data centers, this is a durable, multi-petabyte storage system that guarantees five nines of availability. It’s self-healing, autonomously regenerating hard drives to minimize downtime.

Award: During the conference, Seagate was named Enterprise Storage Vendor of the Year at the Future Enterprise Awards 2025 hosted by CPI Media Group. The honor recognizes the company for its pioneering Mozaic™ hard drives based on heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) technology.
Exciting venue and region: “The UAE is an international hub for innovation and investment in the heart of a region increasingly important to Seagate, says Bhatia. “We’re very excited with the opportunity ahead of us in IMETA.”
